FBI Alleges Chinese Espionage Amounting To $1 Billion In Stolen Research And Intellectual Property

Fires were seen outside the Chinese consulate in Houston as the US government ordered the building to cease operations this Friday.  The embassy was spotted burning documents and papers soon after the order was made.

The consulate is believed to have been the heart of China’s espionage operation in the US consisting of stealing intellectual property (IP), research, and conducting visa fraud, wrote Business Insider.

“US officials told NBC News that the consulate has a history of being used to steal valuable medical research as well as attempts to get into the natural gas and oil industries, and said that President Donald Trump was briefed on the suspected spying soon after he took office.”

China posted a letter on their US Embassy Twitter Account threatening to retaliate against the decision stating that it violated “international law, basic norms governing international relations and the bilateral consular agreement between China and the US.”

Despite the accusations and the proven extensive history of Chinese espionage, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has flipped the switch and accused the US of breaking international law.

In a Fox News interview back in 2018, Kyle Bass of Hayman Capital Management stated that several government reports, including the IP Commission Report, declared, “There is a consensus that IP theft from the US to China has been right around three to 500 billion dollars a year.”

China’s state sponsored criminality doesn’t end with IP theft; it also includes frequent hacking of both public and private infrastructure.

Beijing’s attempted coverup of the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s history of IP theft, military aggression, the practice of merciless neocolonialism across the African continent and around the globe through unfair infrastructure deals have pushed China further and further away from their neighbors and adversaries.

Secretary of State Pompeo outlined the administration's agenda to fight CCP influence in a speech today. He cited speeches given by Attorney General Barr, and other Trump officials which complemented his declarations today.

In addition, the FBI declared Chinese members of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) are operating illegal research in 25 American cities.
