In response to Vladimir Putin's announcement on Tuesday of a partial mobilization to escalate the war in Ukraine, Joe Biden addressed the UN Wednesday morning. In his opening statement, he accused Putin of violating the "core tenants" of the United Nations Charter stating that Putin had made, "overt nuclear threats against Europe."

Biden went on to accuse the Kremlin of "organizing a sham referendum to try to annex parts of Ukraine." The comment was made regarding an upcoming plebiscite that is taking place in 2 Donbas republics and 2 regions of Ukraine that are heavily controlled by Russian forces. Putin has offered to provide security for the referendums which will decide whether or not the regions join Russia.

After making it clear that no one attacked Russia, Biden added, "This war is about extinguishing Ukraine's right to exist as a state." He then stated that the U.S. is working with its allies to impose "costs" on Russia to deter attacks against NATO territory.

Biden ended his address to the UN with a show of support stating that, "Ukraine has the same rights that belong to every sovereign nation" and recommitting to the UN that the United States will continue to support Ukraine in its defense against the Russian invasion.

Why should the Ukraine exist as an independent state? It would be misused like Poland and the Czech Republic as a battering ram against Germany - and THAT is the real reason behind all of this. Avoid friendship and cooperation between Russia and Germany has been a pillar of Anglo-American foreign policy since the Reich was was re-instituted in 1871, ergo the Anglo-American world will go so far as using nuclear weapons to assure Ukraine´s existence as an independent entity.
