President Trump accepted has officially accepted his nomination from the Republican Party not from Charlotte, North Carolina, but from Washington, DC.  In case you missed  his speech, he started out by listing the great presidents who once lived in the White House, and watched the nation crumble before their eyes.  But most importantly, he spoke about their leadership, and how Americans came together to hold onto their values, and what they held most dear. Setting up the backdrop of the Civil War, World War II, and other national catastrophes, President Trump spoke about the perseverance of the American spirit, how President’s like Jefferson sent Lewis and Clarke west to expand the nation, and other national topics Americans consider part of our history.

But then, he gave a grave warning. He said that like “those brave Americans before us, we are meeting these challenges,” through beating the coronavirus, and then spoke about “life-saving therapies” and promised to produce a vaccine by the “end of the year, or maybe even sooner.” Trump promised to “defeat the virus, end the pandemic, and emerge stronger than ever before.”

Trump said those who lived in America knew this country was blessed by God, and that “the unbreakable spirit” allowed for space expansion, westward expansion, and allowed us to get over any challenge presented to us.

But, after listing all of America’s accomplishments, Trump said the future of our country is in grave danger, saying, voters have never had more clear of a choice: “defend the American way of life,” or, let a radical, left agenda destroy it. Trump said, “how can a Democratic Party lead our country, when it’s spent so much time tearing down our country.”

Trump said that the Democrat’s message is similar to every “repressive” movement throughout history. And unlike Biden, America puts its faith “in almighty God.”

President Trump also said he broke the “cardinal rule” of career politicians, “he kept his promises.” He said that in this election, there couldn’t be more of a difference between the two candidates, and how we want our future to be. Do we want to continue moving forward? Or, do we want to become like so many great nations, who descend into socialism, and fall.
