I was disgusted with Alex Jones' comments on Sandy Hook when I lived in Newtown, CT years ago. I knew children killed by the Sandy Hook shooter (I won't speak the gunman's name). One family whose child was murdered was very close to mine. I witnessed first hand the horror those parents, and the town went through, and are still dealing with to this day (for instance, property values are still down because of the shootings). I can still vividly remember the fear in my mother's voice the day of the murders when she called asking where my children were.

Alex Jones and his media outlet Infowars were completely de-platformed from big-tech social media and ancillary technology platforms two years ago. The excuse used was doubts expressed on his show as to the veracity of the murders at the Sandy Hook Elementary School years before.

Jones is despised by many, and hated with a passion by those on the Left for his behavior regarding the murders. For what's its worth, he has apologized on air multiple times.

However, i also served in the U.S. military, and took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States, from enemies foreign, and domestic.

If big-tech and the globalist elites are not a threat to the American Constitutional republic, I don't know what is.

As we experience the beginnings of the Neo-Bolshevik revolution in America, many vets say to Leftist protesters, "I don't agree with your words, but I'll fight to the death for you to have the right to say them". This is not a meme. This is a sworn oath that most of us take seriously, even after leaving the armed forces.

The real reason Jones was taken off the air was because he was right more than he had been wrong as to the globalist scourge we are facing today in the West.

He has been right about the Chicoms, and their push to take over the world. He has been right about Black Lives Matter and its connections to ANTIFA. He has been right about the pedophilia of the elites. I could go on and on and on.

This is the real reason he was deplatformed -- because he is effective, too effective for the elite's liking when it comes to bringing America the truth as to what is happening to our beloved republic in the face of these enemies among us.

These tech platforms are not 'publishers'. They are political propaganda machines.

Everyone knows this. Conservatives, spineless Republicans in Congress and elsewhere don't want to admit it, as they are bought and paid for by Google or Facebook, or may have their standing in life threatened. How disgustingly weak.

We as Americans are given a birthright to free speech, to due process, to freedom of religion, to freedom of assembly. When Alex Jones was de-platformed, those rights were taken away, in a coordinated conspiracy I might add.

    And conservatives did nothing.

    The Trump administration did nothing.

I seem to remember a saying that starts with, first they came for the Jews...then it ends with, then they came for me and there was no one to help.

Well, they are coming for so-called 'mainstream' conservatives now; The Federalist just found out the hard way as Google threatened to take down their advertising. Google, Twitter, Facebook are breaking election law, and it will be very tough to win an election with your ability to get a message out to the public curtailed.

If Donald J. Trump loses the presidential election in November of this year, the American republic as we have known her will be destroyed.

Then there will be no one left to protect you when they come for you, your family, your children, your church.

If Trump loses the election, it will be because he did nothing to protect the Constitutional rights of Alex Jones, despise him or not. Even those who say offensive things have Constitutional rights. If we don't protect them for everyone, everyone will lose them.

    smh Seriously?

    Jury Nullification

    Smh Seriously?"

Why? Too much of a leap to believe that someone as controversial as Jones could have and should have been defended to make the case that big tech censorship needed to be stopped? Had it been done early on then the current situation might not be as dire as it is with regard to big tech's outright censorship not to mention its intimidation that causes much not to be published out of fear.

Big tech's control of information is untenable and a threat to this democracy. Big tech has become the public square and should be treated as such. Apparently, that is lost on you.

AJ, the infamous Mo$$ad-controlled pseudo journalist puppet? That AJ?

The First Amendment does not give anyone a constitutional right to say whatever they please on anyone's private platform.

And what got Jones deplatformed was not questioning the Sandy Hook shooting - it was publicly releasing the names, addresses, even phone numbers, of parents who's children died there...REPEATEDLY...so his cult followers could harass them in person, even after they moved out of their state

"Apparently, that is lost on you."

The only "leap" is predicting a presidential election loss and boiling it down to one's pet issue. Obviously, the absurdity of that untenable position is completely lost on you.
As you do your introspective analysis, I suggest also looking at your knee jerk propensity to make unabashedly-baseless assumptions erroneously based on a comment consisting of a three-letter acronym and a single word; a feat that would likely even amaze Carnac the Magnificent.

    Bun

He's been right lots of times and blabs endlessly. The Left machine wants him gone because he has hit alot of correct guesses (or been leaked to). So the Left machine ferments rage in their Left pleb base.

They picked "Sandy Hook" as the best bad example of way to ban someone. They fermented rage at him for ages by repeating exaggerated claims about what he said, Alex has repeatedly said he was taken out of context an never said what they clam - but he doesn't get heard because of mainstream press lockdown. Then they all together - Apple, Google, FB, Twitter etc. lock him out together. OBVIOUSLY this was decided behind closed doors in San Fransisco. The message is simple :- you are no longer allowed to disagree with Media version of events or the new

Sandy Hook WAS f---ing suspicious - those 3 creepy Thunberg-like school children picked out instantly - and never any others - reciting lines about Trump and behaving like actors - David whoever. THEN it turns out they actually ARE actors. THEN it turns out that David whoever's father is in the CIA... and there is credible doubt about whether he was really there. The prick stood there with his fist in the air on a podium... the creep had been practising for that moment... That should all be weird to anyone

AJ was not guilty of what he was tried outside of a court as having said. I know this because during that time I watched him and I watched what happened. You would be surprised who does watch him but won't own it publicly. Kudos to the author for making a good point. If you won't protect the free rights of people you don't agree with, then you don't believe in free speech.

    Boiled Frog

I listened to Jones all throughout the Sandy Hook incident. This article, like most others, misrepresents what A.J. said back then. The only mistake he made was apologizing for what someone else on his program said.
