    Bug Souffle Anyone?

    If the globalists have their way, you may find yourself saying, “Waiter, there’s a fly in my soup,” only to hear him answer, “Yes, it’s today’s special!”

    Most of us have had a good laugh when we saw a TV interview featuring stories about bug eating as the wave of the future.  In fact, many of us, much to our disgust, witnessed CNN anchor Brianna Keilar eating cicadas live, on air, just this past May.  As she crunched away, the thought of actually eating a creepy crawler, undoubtedly, made most of us feel just a bit queasy, to say the least, but, all kidding aside, the signs are beginning to add up.  Here are a few:

    • Bill Gates’ massive US farmland acquisitions (estimated at nearly 300,000 acres);
    • Fewer and fewer farmers and meat industry workers who are unable to continue to maintain their businesses due to insufficient subsidies and price hikes;
    • The expensive, ever-shrinking availability of diesel gas, which fuels the trucks that bring food to most of our tables;
    • And, most recently, the prohibition of Dutch Farmers using fertilizer on their crops, for fear of climate control blowback.

    Why should any of us be surprised?  As far back as three years ago, Forbes reported, “Environmental activists have been pointing out the brontosaurus-sized carbon footprint of eating small amounts of beef, comparing it to the miniscule atmospheric impact of plant-based alternatives.” (Forbes, com, “Why The Beef And Dairy Industries Are On A Cow Path To Oblivion, 9/30/19)

    So, if you have a sneaking suspicion that the combination of soaring gas prices, with no end in sight, along with the terribly inept and inefficient operations of the airline industry, are nothing more than a carefully orchestrated attempt to cause you to travel less, thereby lessening your carbon footprint, then none of this agricultural debacle should be seen as any different.

    The idea is to eliminate what has been readily accessible and plentiful in order to force us into food, vehicles or whatever it is that the global elites think we deserve.  Of course, no one has any doubt that the new behaviors, which will be imposed upon all of us, as the more “environmentally friendly” way of life will, without question, not be adopted by those demanding the changes.  They never are!

    So, while we’re being told to give up burgers, steaks and efficient gas-fueled cars, Davos devotees will continue to use their private jets to fly to their lavish conferences and dine on the very finest aged beef and other delicacies to which only they are entitled.

    But what of the masses?  Well, word has it that bugs are healthier, more sustainable, cheaper and certainly plentiful, so why not?  Articles such as, “Eating Insects is Good for You – and the Planet! would have you believe that, “We need to find new ways to grow food, address inefficiencies and develop new approaches to production methods.” (The conversation.com 6/27/19) It goes on to say, “The billions of animals raised each year for food are putting increasing pressure on land and water resources and contributing to climate change and other negative impacts.”

    Of course, nowhere does it go into specific detail of how the environment is being harmed by meat-eating humans, but that’s probably not so important.  What is vital is the claim that if we are to ensure food supplies for the future, we must find alternative sources of protein, and since they’re good enough for animals and fish, which already eat these bugs, then they should work for us as well!

    But isn’t it interesting to take a look at who is actually pushing this new-fangled notion of bug-eating?  As far back as 2013, the UN was promoting the idea as reported in www.bbc.co.uk, (UN urges people to eat insects to fight world hunger, 5/13/13) Not only could eating bugs fight hunger, but it could also “reduce pollution.”  Once again, nothing on why the environment factors into the novel suggestion of eating what most of us find detestable.

    What a shock to discover that the World Economic Forum (WEF) believes that meat should be scrapped in favor of replacements!  Their very heartfelt concerns point to the negative impact meat has on our world, “Including our health, the environment, and animal welfare…more and more people are becoming advocates of plant-based eating. (“You will be eating replacement meats within 20 years.  Here’s why, 6/28/19, www.weforum.org) While the article delves into such subjects as new alternatives, which are more efficient than conventional meat, along with all its many benefits, also absent from the article are any specifics as to how meat-eating is hurting the world’s environment.

    Of course, the WEF founder and executive chairman is none other than Klaus Schwab whose more notable patrons include Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron, Former U.S. Vice-President, Al Gore, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates, John Kerry and a few others names, which you might discover to be a bit more surprising, if you do a quick Internet search.  But there you have it - the very same individuals who are keen on instituting what has been called, “The Great Reset,” the future reality for all mankind which will change how we live, eat, bank, travel and everything else that affects our daily lives.

    So, we should ask ourselves the question, “Why would I want to change my eating habits, driving habits, home-heating habits, travel plans and whatever else I’m being told will benefit the environment, if I’d only be willing to cooperate, when those pushing it surely won’t?”

    Do be sure to let me know when you see any one of the WEF members listed-above, ditch their filet mignon for a steady diet of roasted crickets, and then maybe the rest of us will listen a bit more intently.  However, don’t hold your breath, because it isn’t likely to happen any time soon.

    As the old saying goes, “Put Up or Shut Up.”  In other words, either give us irrefutable proof that the continuation of the diet we’ve all been eating for thousands of years is going to put an end to our world or just accept the fact that the joke is on you.  For now, the only thing that will be in my soup will be beef, barley and maybe a few vegetables and noodles!

    Bon Appetite!
