A federal court jury in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday found Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes and Kelly Meggs, another Oath Keeper member, guilty of seditious conspiracy for the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Jessica Watkins, Kenneth Harrelson and Thomas Caldwell, three other members, were found not guilty on the seditious conspiracy charge.

All five defendants were found guilty of obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting their actions.

Watkins was found guilty on a count of civil disorder and aiding and abetting. Watkins testified on the stand that she helped push against officers inside the Capitol. Caldwell was found guilty of tampering with documents or proceedings and aiding and abetting.

The government was not forced during the trial to disclose the multiple informants/operatives which were involved in helping to create the incident on January 6th.

Rhodes, Caldwell and Watkins testified in their own defense.  Rhodes told the jurors it was “stupid” for Oath Keepers to enter the Capitol.

Another Oath Keeper who pleaded guilty to a non-seditious conspiracy charge gave prosecutors some of their strongest testimony during the trial. He told jurors that he was prepared to die to keep Trump in office. Jason Dolan testified that he was ready to “conquer or die” and potentially “take up arms” to fight on Trump’s behalf.

Another Oath Keeper who cooperated with the government, Graydon Young, testified that he thought he was part of a “Bastille-type moment,” referring to the 1789 French Revolution.

“I guess I was acting like a traitor against my own government,” Young testified.

The trial featured extensive messages between Oath Keepers’ members and Rhodes’ audios messages before and after the Jan. 6 attack.

“You’ve got to make sure [Trump] knows that you are willing to die to fight for this country,” Rhodes told the Oath Keepers on the call. “We’re very much in exactly the same spot that the Founding Fathers were in like March 1775. … Nothing left but to fight. … We’re not getting out of this without a fight. There’s going to be a fight. But let’s just do it smart and let’s do it while President Trump is still commander in chief and let’s try to get him to do his duty and step up and do it.

Stewart Rhodes never went inside the US Capitol. He never instructed anyone to go inside the US Capitol. And, he was unarmed as were all of his associates that day.

Revolver.news has reported extensively that Rhodes may have also been a government operative, as he was arrested long after the others and his profile was scrubbed from the FBI website at one point.
