Steve Bannon: Arrest Was A Political Hit Job

During Steve Bannon’s radio show, he addressed his recent arrest over the crowdfunding website, “We Build The Wall.”  Bannon, who has been charged with conspiracy to wire fraud and money laundering, will fight the charges.  Allegedly, Bannon took $1 million from the funds raised for his own personal use to pay the other group’s leaders.  This went against the website’s claim that every penny would be used to pay for the southern border wall construction.

But Bannon, who seems unphased by the arrest, left the courthouse without a mask and smiling. Later on his radio show, he called the arrest “nonsense,” and said about the arrest, “Everybody knows I love a fight. I’m in this for the long haul and I’m in this for the fight.” Bannon said the arrest was politically motivated because it was in support of President Trump’s agenda.

Bannon said on his show, "This was to show support for President Trump in the wall movement and the wall has to be built. This was to stop and intimidate people that want to talk about the wall. This is to stop and intimidate people that have President Trump's back on building the wall."

President Trump, however, has distanced himself from Bannon.  In a statement from Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, she said President Trump "has not been involved with Steve Bannon since the campaign and the early part of the Administration, and he does not know the people involved with this project."

She continued, “President Trump has no involvement in this project and felt it was only being done in order to showboat, and perhaps raise funds.”

Bannon, however, is looking further into the timing of the arrest. He said, “The timing is exquisite. We have 72 days and a wake up to what Donald Trump says is the most important election.” The former Trump adviser said he is “not going to back down” from the arrest,” and that this is to intimidate people who have President Trump’s back, and want to build the wall.

Wishful thinking, Bannon. We all knew you were a fraud from the moment you stepped onto the 30th floor of Goldman Sachs.
You were a great salesman, able to sell any product or idea, I'll give you that, but you were completely full of shit and you still are today.
