In a unanimous ruling, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals' three-judge panel has ruled that the Department of Justice may continue to review documents the FBI seized from former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in early August, completely upending an earlier ruling from a district court Judge.

U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon enjoined further federal review of the documents in her order.

She then appointed New York Judge Raymond Dearie as special master to independently review them.

In the remarkable decision, the court noted the obvious.

Trump "has not even attempted to show that he has a need to know the information contained in the classified documents," the panel wrote, according to Politico. "Nor has he established that the current administration has waived that requirement for these documents."

Trump appointed two of the three appellate judges during his presidency.
