According to NBC News, Joe Biden allegedly told Al Sharpton that he intends to run for president again in 2024. Biden made the comment to Sharpton during a meeting with top civil rights organizations in September stating, "I'm going to do it again."

Sharpton was one of the first people to know that Biden was going to run for president in the 2020 election when Biden sought his endorsement at an event in January 2019.

At 79 years old, Biden is the oldest serving president. Biden's mental acuity and ability to lead the country have been called into question numerous times since he took office following a series of faux pas ranging from tripping upstairs and falling off his bicycle, to apparently getting lost on stage and most recently, praising and then searching a crowd for Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-IN) who had tragically died in a car accident a month prior.

In 2024, Biden will be 82 years old, and in a recent poll, only 39 percent of registered voters approved of Biden's leadership and performance. Many Americans already think that Biden should take a cognitive test as doubts about his mental capacity continue to stack up.

While Biden has not officially announced that he will run for office again in 2024, he has made it clear that he has his sights set on another term if his health holds out. When asked if he would run in the next election by CBS's Scott Pelley in a 60 Minutes interview that aired last month Biden answered, "Look, my intention, as I said, that began with is that I would run again. But it's just an intention. But is it a firm decision that I run again? That remains to be seen."
