Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said Friday he believes the Senate leadership vote should be postponed until the candidates for the position are vetted for “genuine [commitment] to fighting for the priorities & values of the working Americans.”

“The Senate GOP leadership vote next week should be postponed,” Rubio tweeted. “First we need to make sure that those who want to lead us are genuinely committed to fighting for the priorities & values of the working Americans (of every background) who gave us big wins in states like #Florida.”

Well thats a no brainer. Why would you have a vote before the next congress is seated? Some new senators might not want his bleedership. Put the old ronkey (rino)out to pasture. Put MTG or L boebert? sp in the spot. Really PO the libs.

McConnel needs to be forced into retirement. He is no good for the country and the reason many of us Republicans lack any confidence that the GOP can and will rule for the benefit of the country.

The three "Micks" have to go.....McConnell, McCarthy and McDaniel. If the GOP cannot win an election by a sizeable margin under these current economic and social conditions, then they never will. This was not "Trump's fault".....he was one of the few out there pushing for candidates. He went 222-16 in his endorsements, what did McConnell or McCarthy do this election cycle.....nothing. McConnell actually sabotaged key Senate races.

I won't even delve into the incompetent 'McDaniel', everyone knows she has no business being in that position.

I've always felt that McConnell works for McConnell alone. Whatever is good for him and his wife. He really doesn't want control of the Senate unless everyone in his caucus goes al I ng with him. He hated the Senate candidates that Trump was pushing simply because they wouldn't kneel at his throne and vote his way. He is the epitome of all that is wrong with the Republican party today. He needs to go.
