The Temecula Valley Unified School District (TVUSD) voted 3-2 to ban Critical Race Theory (CRT) at its first school district meeting after swearing in a conservative majority.

The school board's resolution to ban CRT stated, "The TVUSD desires to uplift and unite students by not imposing the responsibility of historical transgressions in the past and instead will engage students of all cultures in age-appropriate critical thinking that helps students navigate the past, present, and future."

TVUSD not only condemned CRT as "an ideology based on false assumptions about the United States of America and its population" but also the racism that led to the CRT doctrine.

The board continued, Critical Race Theory or other similar frameworks will not be used as a source to guide how topics related to race will be taught."

The resolution banned several core tenants of CRT including the notion that "Racism is ordinary and the usual way society operates" and also "The 'voice-of-color' thesis, the belief that minority groups are inherently better equipped to speak about race and racism."

Other tenants the resolution banned include the idea that "Racism is racial prejudice plus power, a concept that is often used to argue that (i) only individuals classified as "white" people can be racist because only "white" people control society and (ii) individuals in ethnic minorities cannot be racist because they do not control society."

The resolution also banned other ideas, including the thought that people, due to their race or gender, can be "inherently racist or sexist" or are fundamentally "a member of either an oppressor or an oppressed class." The ban also takes aim at the teaching that someone "should be discriminated against or receive favorable treatment on the basis of race or sex" or the idea that they shoulder "responsibility for past actions committed by other members of the same group."

The Temecula school board is not the first to ban CRT from schools. After an extensive push by liberal Democrats to hold race above all else and push the notion that "systemic racism" is to blame for every misfortune to befall a person of color or minority, society seems to finally be waking up to the negative effects of woke culture and the damage such practices as CRT are inflicting not only on our children but on society as a whole.

The radical teachers will just call it something else--or call it nothing at all--and teach it anyway. Their mission is indoctrination, NOT education. This board of education won't stop them.

Good start is better than none.

Homeschool your kids please these teachers are idiots today.

Its a start, for sure- but, until a parallel education system is in place, homeschooling is the safest option for avoiding all potential child abuse. Unfortunately, American schools are cults designed to destroy family values and the mental health of all children- making for a complete cultural revolution👿!
