Republican candidate for Maryland Governor Dan Cox picked Gordana Schifanelli, a Queen Anne’s County lawyer deeply involved in controversial schools issues as his Lt. Governor running mate. Donald Trump endorsed Cox. Michale Flynn endorsed Schifannelli, and Talbot County Sheriff Joe Gamble is endorsing both. Schifannelli was born in Yugoslavia, escaped after during the Balkans Crises and is married to a U.S. Green Beret, and has taught at the U.S. Naval Academy.
