Syrian Sunni rebels, previously thought to be attached to terror groups which have threatened the U.S., like Al Qaeda, have captured the strategic town of Aleppo, in a defeat to the Assad regime and the Kremlin.

Assad's army has withdrawn from large sections of Aleppo according to local journalists.

Below Sunni forces let their comrades out of Assad's prisons.

Iran and Syria are Shiite. The Sunni in Syria are a minority and oppressed, and the US is on their side against the Assad regime, contrary to this story. This may be a lucky break for Israel as it may force Iran to pay more attention here and less to Israel, for now.
