Tom Emmer has won the race within the Republican Party to gain a floor vote in the House of Representatives to be speaker of the house.

It is unclear at this time if there are enough America First representatives to prevent Emmer from being selected when the House votes.

Democrats have expressed a willingness to help Emmer achieve the post.
