Tsarizm has reported extensively on Turkish expansion of influence in its near abroad in recent years, from the Syrian civil war, to North Africa, and now to Central Asia in the Caucasus, where Ankara is backing the Islamic nation of Azerbaijan against its fight with Christian Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, a frozen conflict of the Soviet Union.

Today, Turkey took the tension to greater heights by declaring any attack against Azerbaijan is an attack against Turkey, the former home of the Ottoman Empire. Turkey is a NATO ally and any attack on Turkey could trigger an Article 5 treaty response; in other words, require the U.S. to respond to Ankara’s aid.

An attack on Azerbaijan is equal to aggression against Ankara, Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtulmus said Tuesday, reported Russian state news agency TASS.

“Any attack by Armenia on an Azerbaijani settlement is equal to an attack on a Turkish settlement. Turkey expects that the international community will not act hypocritically, will put an end to Armenia’s provocative outbursts and will support the just actions of Azerbaijan,” he said, according to Sabah newspaper.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said earlier in the day that his country is ready to support Azerbaijan in the conflict both at the negotiating table and on the battlefield. “There is only one solution [to this problem]. Armenia will withdraw from Azerbaijani territories that it has occupied. This problem will not be resolved unless the withdrawal,” Anadolu news agency quoted him as saying.

As we have said before, old belligerents are lining up once again on the battlefields of old.

The Deep State wants to continue to enlarge NATO into this region of the world — a fool’s errand if we ever saw one.

Just because Ankara has some internal political interest in non-NATO-member Azerbaijan does not mean that an attack against Azerbaijan is an attack against NATO member Turkey. The USA will decide when an Article 5 violation occurs requiring USA NATO Treaty response, not Turkey.

We need to pull out of NATO, and the sooner the better. The USA then can make mutual defense treaties with the nations which support us and welcomes our support and shed our outdated obligations to those which are not true and actual allies. Those false allies can self-fund their defense or join in mutual defense treaties with other nations which they feel can better defend their interests than currently does the USA.

NATO is a relic of the post WWII cold war age, a time in which we rightfully were concerned with Soviet Union hegemony over Western Europe. Because of those concerns, we rebuilt recent enemy nation Germany and worked to rebuild and economically strengthen the rest of Western Europe which had been devastated by that same enemy.

Many of those nations never truly appreciated American aid and American sacrifices on their behalf during WWII, as their political actions over the post-war years have demonstrated. We saved their collective ass, and they know it. As usual, no good deed goes unpunished. We probably should have let Hitler take the lot of them and been done with it. Nazi Germany never was a direct threat to the USA. Our involvement in supplying Britain and the USSR was the only reason that Germany ever took military action against USA assets, the ships ferrying materials to Britain and the USSR.

Eventually, the Europeans and Russians would have curtailed German hegemony and Germany would have morphed away from Nazism after Hitler’s death. In the meanwhile, the USA could have coexisted economically with the conquering Germany. We got involved in that European war only because of Roosevelt’s desire to get the USA involved. History has confirmed that his administration was packed full of USSR supporting communists and other left-leaning appointees and bureaucrats.

It appears that there is considerable evidence that the Roosevelt administration was well aware of the pending attack on Pearl Harbor, which attack was allowed to be carried out with little preparation for defense, the so-called “sneak attack” then serving as a guaranteed vote in Congress for war against Japan. With Japan having allied with Germany, our deserved declaration of war against Japan served to trigger a declaration of war against us by Germany. Ergo, Roosevelt and his Leftist administration arrived at their destination: entering a European war, the type of war our Founders warned us against.

The Military-Industrial Complex, against which Eisenhower warned us, always is pushing us into revenue-generating conflicts. NATO is one of the avenues for corporate profits and the making of generals.

That is my take.

I am a six-year active veteran of the US Army an a life-long Republican, but I have learned a few things during my nearly 79 years of living, some of which includes that the government is not your friend; corporations are not your friends; greed for money and power overrides any sense of right and wrong; paychecks to government and corporate bureaucrats override their morals; politicians of all stripes are natural liars; for nearly all those in power, there is self-interest only with no honest concern for the citizenry.

Finally, we get what we vote for.

Turkey says a lot of Bullspit. Nobody cares anymore. They’ve been stabbing the backs of allies for over two decades in the open daylight and what? They expect everyone will drop everything and interpret the world as they see it? I see a weak Turkey. I see a corrupt and unfriendly Turkey. I see a Turkey that is going to get themselves crushed if they don’t get in line and shut their mouth.

You MUST put “allies” in quotes. The Mohammedan is friend to none. Time to end our alliance with these vile worshipers of the illiterate pedophile.
