Two days after surprising markets - and sending the peso plummeting - by announcing he would enact 25% import duties on Mexican goods if the country doesn't stop the flow of drugs and migrants across the border, Trump reportedly has solved the southern border crisis.

Time will tell.

"One tariff would be followed by another in response, and so on until we put at risk common businesses," leftist Mexican president Claudia Sheinbaum had previously declared after Trump's tariff threat.

Sources tell CDM that the Trump team is also readying plans to go after the Mexican cartels with military force to remove the threat.
