    Judge Aileen Cannon has set the Trump 'document case' trial to begin May 20, 2024.

    Special Prosecutor Jack Smith had asked for a ruling to force an earlier trial which the judge denied. Smith had asked for a December 2023 court date.

    I think what he’s saying is a continuance will be asked for and probably be granted at that time if trump is running in the election.
