The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye Abdulkadir URALOĞLU declared this morning that Turkey will rebuild Syrian infrastructure and sign a maritime jurisdiction agreement with new nation. An urgent action plan for air, rail, road and communications services will be implemented, and airports reactivated, he declared.

We plan to take important steps towards the infrastructure work of the region in order to do our part as a result of the developments in Syria, he posted on X.

Based on our findings at Damascus and Aleppo Airports, we will first revive Damascus Airport through DHMİ.

We will do our part to ensure railway integrity up to #Şam . Our goal is to revitalize the historical trade and transportation potential of #Suriye , and we see this process as a great opportunity not only for regional but also for global cooperation.

The goal of Anakara to create greater Turkish influence in the Levant is obvious. Turkey intelligence supported the recent assault on the Assad regime by disparate Sunni regional factions which united in a common cause to bring down the Shia leader.

Syrian Leader Ahmad Al-Sharaa has reached an agreement with all armed factions in Syria to dissolve formations and reform under the Syrian Ministry of Defense, which in the end, will be aligned and likely controlled by Turkey.

American intelligence operatives were also likely assisting the Sunni takeover of the Assad regime, and it is unclear how America will be viewed by the emerging hegemon in the area - Turkey, which is also part of the NATO alliance.

A 'Greater Turkey' is being formed.

Impediments to this influence are American and Kurdish troops in the region.

Turkey views Kurdish forces as an existential threat.

The goal of a 'Greater Turkey' will ultimately conflict with the goal of a 'Greater Israel' in the Levant.

President Trump has a needle to thread in the Middle East as a new Islamic caliphate is being formed, which could lead to rhyming with the battles of past crusades.

Israel's "Greater Israel" goal is to take over Gaza, Judea and Samaria (misnamed "the West Bank") to end terrorist attacks. Turkey's "Greater Turkey" goal is to take over everyone else and dominate the Middle East. Apples and oranges.
