The new year is kicking off with a concerted effort at the United Nations to move closer to achieving the U.N.s 17 sustainable development goals by 2030.
1. The U.N. will kick off the year releasing two major reports on aging; the World Social Report and the World Economic Situation and Prospects report. They will be released on January 12 and 25 January.
6. This July, the latest data on the U.N.’s 17 sustainable development goals and their 169 targets will be revealed in The Sustainable Development Goals Report 2023.
7. UN Member States, civil society, businesses, and other international actors will convene for the annual High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development to assess global action on the global goals. A Forum will be held July 10-19 where 41 countries will present their efforts of their Voluntary National Reviews. The event will reveal what is expected during the Sustainable Development Goals Summit in September.
