I've known Patrick Byrne for some years now, and I've interviewed him a dozen times.

Let me say up front that he has been helpful to CDM, even headlining the launch party for our first regional paper -- The Georgia Record. He supports honest journalism.

An in-depth news piece was just released on Byrne in the inaugural issue of Capitol Times Magazine.

I found the lengthy piece very interesting reading; it filled in several gaps in Byrne's history I was unaware of.

I asked Stan Fitzgerald of Veterans for Trump about the story, as he issued the press release for the inaugural issue, and he provided this quote:

Byrne first peaked my curiosity with a podcast interview I listened to years ago, where he talked about the concept of 'the assassins mace'. The idea is that in Chinese history, there is a strategy to secretly weaken an adversary so much, that by the time he understands what is happening, it is too late to do anything about it. Byrne fears this strategy has been used on our beloved republic. Whether it is too late or not, is anyone's guess.

As somewhat of an expert myself on Russian issues, having studied the language at the U.S. Air Force Academy, traded Russian debt on Wall Street years ago, and traveled the region extensively, even launching CDM's first news site in Eastern Europe -- Tsarizm.com, I was interested in Byrne's story of his relationship to Russian national Maria Butina. I followed the story via contacts in that part of the world, and watched the story unfold from afar. The reader will be fascinated with this part of Byrne's history.
