CDM has learned from sources inside official channels in Western North Carolina that morgue operations are calling relatives of the dead to get authority to cremate remains without identification by next of kin.

This is being done due to the massive number of bodies being recovered.

This process creates questions, as many of those killed in the direct hit of Hurricane Helene were likely in bed clothes at the time, without ID on their person.

So how can authorities identify them?

Some allege this process is being followed in order to hide from the public the scale of the disaster in Appalachia.
