Rapper, Kanye West, has reportedly had his business, Yeezy, LLC, kicked out of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank. After wearing a White Lives Matter shirt to Paris fashion week with Candace Owens and then appearing for an interview with Fox's Tucker Carlson, West Tweeted a series of anti-semitic comments that got him banned from both Twitter and Instagram. Then, Wednesday afternoon Chase Bank sent Kanye a letter stating that he has until November to find a new bank.
While the letter did not provide a clear reason for the separation, it appears to be circumstantially linked to the anti-semetic comments Kanye posted to social media.
On Sunday, Kanye wrote on Twitter, "I'm a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I'm going death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually can't be Anti Semetic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda."
Candace Owens posted a copy of the letter Chase Bank sent to Kanye on her Twitter account and wrote, "Earlier today I learned that @kanyewest was officially kicked out of JP Morgan Chase bank. I was told there was no official reason given, but they sent this letter as well to confirm that he has until late November to find another place for the Yeezy empire to bank."
In his interview with Tucker Carlson, Kanye also appeared to support the ideologies of the Black Hebrew Israelites which claims that the real Jews are black people. In leaked unaired footage Kanye said, "When I say Jew, I mean the 12 lost tribes of Judah, the blood of Christ, who the people known as the race Black really are. This is who our people are. The blood of Christ. This, as a Christian, is my belief."
While it is not clear why Chase Bank decided to terminate its relationship with Kanye and his company, it certainly comes amid a period of controversy for the rapper.
