CNN is hit with yet another sex scandal, only this time, it involves reported mothers and daughters and a 44 year old male CNN producer.
The FBI arrested CNN Producer John Griffin, 44, of Stamford, Connecticut on Friday after a Vermont federal grand jury charged him with three counts of attempting to “entice minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity” interstate, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Vermont.
From April to July 2020, Griffin, a resident of Stamford, Connecticut, who has a residence in Ludlow, Vermont, used the internet messaging applications, Kik and Google Hangouts with parties claiming to be parents of minor daughters, reads the law enforcement press release.
Griffin’s communications were explicit. His messages included, but not limited to, “A woman is a woman regardless of her age,” noting that women should be subservient and submissive to men.
The producer tried to persuade the parents to allow him to teach their daughters how to be “sexually submissive,” and “trained properly,” reads the document.
Griffin transferred over $3,000 to the purported mother in Nevada for plane tickets to bring her nine year-old daughter to Boston’s Logan airport. Griffin picked up the two parties in his Telsa, and drove them to a residence in Ludlow, Vermont, where “the daughter was directed to engage in, and did engage in, unlawful sexual activity,” further reads the government’s press release.
Two other allegations are included in the indictment for enticing children for sexual activity. In April 2020, Griffin attempted to entice a mother and her 14-year-old in a sexual “video training session,” asking them to remove their clothes whereby he would direct them sexually.
In June 2020, Griffin proposed to a “purported” mother that she and her 16-year-old daughter take a “mother-daughter trip” to his house in Vermont for some sexual training of the daughter.
Each of the three counts carry a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of life imprisonment.
The federal government intends to confiscate any property used in the commission of these crimes, including, but not limited to Griffin’s Ludlow, Vermont home, his Telsa, and a Mercedes.
Griffin is a graduate of Hackley School, in Tarrytown, New York, one of the more prestigious U.S. boarding schools and a 1999 graduate of Princeton University.
Since then, he has claimed to have worked in the main stream media at CBS, ABC, FOX and CNN.

that he is “an entrepreneurial producer who combines uncommon technical skills with exceptional, experienced-honed editorial judgement, always with an eye towards “How can we do it better; How can we move it forward; How can we add vale for the Audience?”
Griffin claims to have worked as an Assistant Assignment Editor at CBS New’s The EARLY SHOW, where he later became Associate Producer. He also claims that he was the Chief News Writer for Greta Van Susteren’s ON THE RECORD, the Founding Producer and Chief News Writer for Fox News Radio, Chief New Writer and Line Producer for ABC News NOW, Founding Producer for ABC News/MTV’s college network, Editor for Special Projects at ABCNEWS.com, CNN’s Lead Anchor’s Senior Producer for NEW DAY, working “shoulder-to-shoulder with lead anchor, Chris Cuomo,” further reads his LINKEDIN page.
Griffin was recently a producer for CNN’s John Avalon as reported by X.
The Kik application Griffin used is an application that much of the public believes protects their anonymity. Most are unaware that in 2015, Kik joined forces with Virtual Global Task Force (VGT), which was created in 2006.
VGT is the first international law enforcement task force created without an Act of Parliament or Act of Congress by American, British, Australian, and Canadian law enforcement officials focused on internet crimes against children.
Jim Gamble, the former CEO of Children Exploitation Online Protection, and the first CEO of VGT, was the wind behind VGT’s creation. Twenty years ago, too often U.S. internet companies’ attorneys created hurdles for law enforcement investigating internet crimes against children. These lawyers would claim that foreign law enforcement had no jurisdiction over U.S. companies whose platforms facilitated heinous crimes against children.
VGT reach today is global.
Sex scandals at CNN are not new. Matter of fact, in recent time, they have started to gain some steam.
Years ago, one anchor was caught in the dead of night in Central Park after it was closed. New York police officers found him with a noose around his neck tied to his genitals carrying some meth.
This year Jeffrey Tobin was hired by CNN after he was canned at the New Yorker for masturbating during a zoom call.
Don Lemon is currently involved in a civil suit for alleged sexual harassment.
Recently, CNN fired Chris Cuomo for over-stepping professional boundaries for helping his brother, the then New York Governor, with his own sexual harassment investigation.
Subsequently, Chris Cuomo found himself accused of sexual harassment.
As Cuomo was leaving, he stated he was going to miss that “special “group of people at CNN, but no parties were specifically named..
