CDM has been notified by our technology partner that Google ad serving is completely down. This is not normal and a big deal.
It comes on the heels of an announcement today by The Washington Post that it is ending its efforts to offer its proprietary ad technology to third party publishers.
The world is seeing in real time just how bad Google’s involvement in online advertising is… They obviously have the advertiser demand, but without their code holding up the auctions, ads are currently loading WAY faster for most of the sites on the net… Not sure what it will mean, but is certainly unprecedented.
