New CEO Hannah Giles has laid off most of the employees of Project Veritas in a cost-cutting measure while the company refocuses its efforts going forward. In the near term, PV will operate on a skeleton staff, Giles told CDM.
Sources tell CDM donations collapsed after O'Keefe left PV, and today's decision was not vindictive at all, but simply a way to save the organization from collapse. The business model was not sustainable.
Past excessive spending was also a factor.

I received a fundraising e-mail from them a while back. I responded with a personal email informing them that without James O'Keefe they didn't exist anymore in my mind.

All you had to do to stay afloat was to keep one employee, and there wouldn't have been any need to lay off the others.
Their goal was to go in another direction so they drove it into the ground.
Past excessive spending my foot. A bunch of childish pricks stupidly thought Project Veritas was about them, when they were nothing but barnacles stuck on the O’Keefe ship. James O’Keefe IS (or was) the originator, mover, shaker, and Veritas brand all in one. I hope PV completely bankrupts and the pink slips went to the troublemakers. They deserve it.

What stewpidity, all those lost incomes because y'all's wokeahses got triggered over ONE guy, the one guy who happened to be the nucleus of the whole company. Some things you just can't fix!

I used to follow Project Veritas on all forms of social media. I instantly quit them all when they ousted O'Keefe and signed up with OMG instead.
PV was, for all intent and purpose, James O'Keefe. Without him, it's a pointless shell. In saying this, I do not wish to belittle the good work of his former associates, but their work never would have been brought to light, were it not for him. I offer my condolences to the actual workers who have lost their positions, and pray they quickly find new employment. And to the management team that took down James, I hope your actions are clearly remembered for the negative fruit they produced.
