Membership cancellations are increasing as Planet Fitness’ stock drops 6% after Planet Fitness member Patricia Silva went on social media and reported a biological man was shaving in a woman’s locker room at its Fairbanks, Alaska gym in the presence of a young minor girl draped in a towel sitting in the corner.
“What are you doing here? You are have a penis,” said Silva as she took his picture. “I’m not comfortable with him shaving in my bathroom,” added Silva on social media.
The man responded that he was “Queer -LGB."
Silva reported him to the front desk at the Planet Fitness franchise, posted on social media from the parking lot, and went home. She believed the little girl in the locker room was about 12 years of age.
The next morning Planet Fitness called Silva and informed her that her membership was cancelled because she violated their policy and “crossed boundaries” for taking a mobile device picture of the man.
Silva has continued to go public on social media and giving interviews.
She reported that another female friend returned the next day and the same man was in the women’s locker room, but this time escorted by someone from the front desk ostensibly to protect his rights.
“All members will have access to restroom and locker room facilities that correspond to their self-reported gender identity to the extent permitted by applicable law…If is confirmed that a member is acting in bad faith and improperly asserts a gender identity, they may be asked to leave and their membership may be terminated,” stated Planet Fitness.
Silva has received threats and even reported the incident to the local police who told Silva she “has no rights.”
We have “hit rock bottom in America,” said Silva in a television interview. “This came from the Biden Administration…”
Other members of the public have responded on social media that they were canceling their Planet Fitness memberships.
Planet Fitness stock has dropped by 6%.

Our gender identity non-discrimination policy states that members and guests may use the gym facilities that best align with their sincere self-reported gender identity…” stated the Planet Fitness Fairbanks, Alaska franchise.
