    Pavel Durov left Russia when the government tried to control his social media company, Telegram. But in the end, it wasn’t Putin who arrested him for allowing the public to exercise free speech. It was a western country, a Biden administration ally and enthusiastic NATO member, that locked him away. Pavel Durov sits in a French jail tonight, a living warning to any platform owner who refuses to censor the truth at the behest of governments and intel agencies. Darkness is descending fast on the formerly free world. Here’s our interview with Durov from several months ago: see below.

    Russian-born creator of the encrypted free-speech application Telegram has been arrested in France, where he is a citizen. Durov fled Russia years ago on threats from the Russian government.

    The charges seem to be terrorism, drugs, and organized crime on the Telegram platform. He faces a 20 year sentence.

    French officials declared, "He let multiple crimes be committed on his platform  and did nothing to prevent it."

    Tell me again who's the totalitarian fascist, Putin or Macron? BTW why on earth he went to France for. Doesn't he live in Dubai?

    Supposedly if granted a visa he can travel there and this episode spotlights Western hate of free speech

    It's Jan 6, 2025 and WW III officially breaks out as Donald Trump takes office and the gloves come off to purge the western world of communism once and for all.
    Many 'elite' ran to hide in their bunkers, only to find that, this coward move was fully anticipated and found a welcoming party waiting for them when they arrived. Being gentlemen however, the freedom fighters allowed the NOK to pick up the cremains of the cowards and dispose of them properly.

    If Durov can be arrested for crimes committed on his app, can Macron be arrested for crimes committed on his streets?
    Durov became a French citizen quite recently and I read that Macron invited him for dinner. Although in another account he landed for his plane to refuel. He was arrested as soon as he left his plane. He is not subject to extradition since he is a French citizen.
    Dubai being the safest place for free speech is really saying something about the state of our world.
