British Prime Minister Theresa May jetted off to Strausburg last night to wrench supposed last minute concessions from EU Commission President, and admirer of Karl Marx, Jean-Claude Juncker of Germany.
During a late evening news conference with Juncker, May declared, "Today we have secured legal changes.
"Now is the time to come together to back this improved Brexit deal and to deliver on the instruction of the British people."
Juncker threatened after the press conference, "There will be no third chance...There will be no further interpretations of the interpretations; no further assurances of the re-assurances — if the meaningful vote tomorrow fails.
"It is this deal or Brexit might not happen at all."
There was very little detail as to what this 'legal assurances' actually mean for the British people. Most analysts believe it will not be enough to win over Euro-skeptic lawmakers who would rather see the U.K. just leave the E.U. with no deal at all, rather than remain a vassal to Brussels.
At the end of the day, it just seems to be theater for a weak British prime minister who needs to go so the U.K. can responsibly take care of its future without the influence of those who never wanted Brexit in the first place.
As we write this article the British pound is falling on global markets which is all you need to know about May's 'deal'. The attorney general has just released comments that don't seem to be favorable.
