On 14 August 2024, Ukrainian long-range drone hit four Russian airbases overnight, recording the largest attack on airfields in the war to date.

Local sources reported that explosions have occurred at Khalino, Savasleyka, Borisoglebsk, and Voronezh's Baltimore airbases, reported Inkerman.

The strike targeted fuel and lubricant warehouses and aerial ammunition, but the total damage has not fully been documented. The intended goal was to prevent Russia from utilising those airbases to target Ukrainian military positions and settlements, considering Ukraine’s recent advancements in the Kursk region. With the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces claiming that Su-34 bombers and Su-35 fighters were based on those sites.
