UPDATE: Turkey is now threatening a major war with Syria. This was going to happen anyway. Damn glad we're not in the middle of it...

Donald Trump just might be a very stable genius. After all the wailing and gnashing of teeth by the Obama media pundits, it seems the 'abandoned' Kurds might just be fine after all.
As we have previously predicted here at CD Media, the Syrian Army of Bashar Assad is now taking up positions held by U.S. forces to align with the Kurds against Turkish forces. That took all of 48 hours.
A huge development after earlier in the day Sunday Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced Trump has ordered a "deliberate withdrawal" of 1,000 US troops in northeast Syria amid the advancing Turkish incursion: sources close to the Syrian government have announced the Syrian Army will move in to assist Kurdish militias in Kobani and Manbij, reported Zero Hedge.
"The Syrian Governmental Forces (SAA) are preparing to enter the region of Kobani today, based on an agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces," Syrian official Mohammed Shaheen, was cited as saying.
As early as last week the SDF was reportedly engaged in intensifying talks with Damascus over assistance from the Syrian Army, after the US withdrew its air support for the Kurdish-led group amid the Turkish assault. On Monday the commander of the US trained and armed SDF, Mazlum Abdi, indicated just that in a bombshell statement:“We are considering a partnership with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, with the aim of fighting Turkish forces.”
Why were we still there again? That is the big question.
The Islamic State has been mostly defeated. Turkey is an ally. Europe is much closer to the region with their NATO armies. We have done our part.
Let's get our men and women home.
Today General James Mattis (USA, Retired) said ISIS may reconstruct itself in the region without American troops on the ground and in harms way.
I say we can deal with that when it happens.
This is not our fight.

The Protestants of the West, The orthodox Christians of the Middle East, who is to question the beliefs of Leaders ?
Kurds ? Assad ? Putin ? Trump ? Rome ? Minorities among the majority ? Leaders are chosen for peace or for war. Independent Leaders for peace, should be followed.
The road to Damascus is a very old road.
Draft all dems and send to the front, please.
I don't know why anyone would be surprised. Both Turkey and ISIS are Kurdish enemies and Bashar needs an army that will fight. The Russians are allies, but on the cheap. This puts Turkey in the mix and between Iran and Lebanon. The only losers are the American military industrial complex, General Jack Keane and the Pentagon Rockwell and Northrup.
Syrian Kurd Nationalists are pragmatic, and like everyone else, have interests, not friends or even allies. Certainly they will ally with Assad.
The whole revolution in Syria was apparently a CIA initiative, or at least the CIA had a supporting role.
CIA has ended up being a disaster, both at home and abroad.
Does America need it, or perhaps a better question, does America need to get rid of it.
