Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed his country and his words reverberated around the world in a rallying cry that the Israeli ground invasion will begin, but the time will not be announced.
He needed to show strength and purpose as many Israelis are angry at him for the failed security that resulted in the Oct.7 attack inside Israel.
Just a day ago, Israel showed over 100 journalists the evidence collected from body cameras worn by Hamas militants.
It was a defiant speech while rumors were swirling that Israel was going to delay its ground invasion to protect US troops and see if there was any more movement to release any more hostages.
To date, there have only been four hostages released while leaders around the world have demanded that the hostages be released immediately. Over 200 are still being held by Hamas.
Netanyahu stated that Israeli war cabinet will be making the decision on when the ground invasion will begin. He left no doubt that the ground invasion will be executed.
“Timing of the operation will be unanimously determined by the cabinet,” said Netanyahu.
Fingers have been pointed at the prime minister even before the attack over the judicial reforms, which were deeply unpopular.
He “promised” a inquiry on the failed intelligence leading up to the Oct. 7 attack, but after the conflict ended. Overall, Israelis want their government to fight the war to make them safe in long run.
“There are two objectives. Do away with Hamas military…Return all hostages,” Netanyahu said. “All Hamas militants are doomed,” he emphatically stated.
His message was laser-focused, “Save our country and achieve our victory.”
Israel is in “great pain at the loss of 1,400 brothers and sisters murdered in cold-blood by those who want to defeat us,” Netanyahu shared.
The survivors of the attack have been evacuated to hotels and given help.
The prime minister promised that the burned and damaged kibbutz will be rebuilt and the government now is distributing weapons to its citizens, reminding his audience that “ISIS is Hamas.”
