The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp has released a statement declaring the assassination of the Hamas leader Haniyeh was accomplished with a missile fired from within Iranian territory, which eliminates the need for Iran to respond against Israel with missile attacks in response.
A short-range missile was launched into his room with a warhead weighing about 7 kilos, which caused a strong explosion, declared the IRCG.
The one who planned and carried out the assassination is the Zionist regime with the support of the USA.
This declaration is seen as a 'backing down' of Iran from its threats to launch a regional war in conjunction with other states in the region.

Who knows whay to believe anymore with all the fake news these days.
truth doesn't matter. By declaring it an internal missile strike, they can deescalate without being seen as weak against Israel by their own people.
Yet this is just a question of did the killer use a bomb or a missile.
Both require an agent to perform. And in both cases the hit is in Israeli interest.
I see Iran rounding up internal Israeli agents, may have been watching them for some time for all we know.
And Iran still has to unpack and set up the 43 or so weapons shipments they just got in from Russia. I see the attack starting in about 2 weeks.
I saw that, to me that possibility would seem to point to an internal Iranian agent of Israel or elsewhere rather than to Israel masterminding something cool.

"Regardless of the manner of Haniyeh's death, both Iran and Hamas have vowed to retaliate. The IRGC said on Saturday that Israel would receive 'a severe punishment at the appropriate time, place and manner'." https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cg64642q0dxo

That doesn't sound like backing down where I come from...
