The Bashar al-Assad regime is falling. Government troops are fleeing their positions and retreating towards Damascus in the north and south of the country, as a coalition of rebel forces apply pressure.
Russia has brokered an agreement for Assad forces to hand over positions to Kurdish forces in the east, and the Kremlin is evacuating non-essential personnel.
This effectively severs the land bridge from Damascus to Tehran through Iraq.
Rebel forces are also approaching the Israeli border in the south, forcing the IDF to increase defenses in the region.
The final battle for Damascus is approaching.
Reports are emanating from the region that the Assad family has fled to Moscow.
