Although both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have secured enough delegates for their respective party’s nominations, five states will hold their presidential contests Tuesday.

Biden earlier faced protest votes in Michigan and Minnesota’s contests over his Israel Hamas policy in Gaza. Biden’s critics asked voters to mark "uncommitted" on their ballots to register their opposition.

The March 19 Democratic and Republican primaries include:

FLORIDA - Polls close 7pm EDT.

    Republican delegate count: 125

    Democratic delegate count: 224

No Democratic primary will be held in Florida. Democratic State Party officials canceled the primary after party members voted to list Biden as the only candidate on the state ballot.

Trump also faces no challengers after Florida Governor Ron DeSantis dropped out of the presidential race in January and endorsed Trump.

Trump beat Biden by 3.3% in Florida in 2020 and has an even wider lead in 2024

OHIO - Polls close 7:30 pm EDT.

    Republican delegate count: 79

    Democratic delegate count: 127

Ohio does not have an “uncommitted” option on the ballot, and the Board of Elections will not be counting blank ballots and write-ins.

Trump beat Biden by 8 percentage points in Ohio in 2020. In March, Trump is leading Biden by 17%.

ILLINOIS - Polls close 8 pm EDT.

    Republican delegate count: 64

    Democratic delegate count: 147

Biden’s critics are calling for Democratic voters to leave their ballots blank or write “Gaza” on their ballots.

Biden beat Trump by roughly 17 percentage points in Illinois in 2020.

KANSAS - Polls close 8 pm EDT.

    Republican delegate count: 39

    Democratic delegate count: 33

Kansas will hold its first presidential primary in 30 years. They have been holding caucuses for the last three decades.

Trump is expected to win the state in 2024. Trump beat Biden by more than 14 percentage points in 2020.

ARIZONA - Polls close 10 pm EDT.

    Republican delegate count: 43

    Democratic delegate count: 72

In Arizona, organizers who support the “uncommitted” movement are urging voters to choose Democrat Marianne Williamson over Biden. Williamson suspended her campaign after Nevada's primary, but she recently reactivated it. In 2020, Biden beat Trump by just 10,000 voters in Arizona.

The latest poll in Arizona found Trump leading Biden by 4%. The state’s Hispanic population is a third of the state and the barometer to watch on Tuesday will be Biden’s support in the Hispanic community as it has been decreasing. Hispanic voters in the state are switching to the Trump camp.

Real Clear Politics average polling shows that Joe Biden is drowning in the polls on major issues - economy, foreign policy, inflation, immigration, crime, Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Russian Ukraine.

Alternatively, Real Clear Politics average polling demonstrates that Trump is rising in the national polls.
