Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., posted a photo on X of Trump, his fist raised and his face bloody in front of an American flag, with the words: “He’ll never stop fighting to Save America.”
North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Ohio Sen. JD Vance, the three men on Trump’s shortlist for vice president, all quickly sent out statements expressing concern for the former president, with Rubio sharing an image taken as Trump was escorted off stage with his fist in the air and a streak of blood on his face along with the words “God protected President Trump.”

UPDATE: A man reported to have died at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania is believed to be a Trump supporter who was shot, and the shooter's condition is still unknown.
Just days before the Republican Convention opens in Milwaukee, republican candidate Donald Trump was rushed off stage at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, after a series of loud cracking or popping noises.
Secret Service agents shoved Trump to the ground. About a minute later, Trump stood up, raised a fist before being escorted to his armored car, with blood coming from his ear right ear. Trump was seen grabbing his ear after the gun-like sounds were heard
Law enforcement cleared the area and the rally ended.
Secret Service has stated the former president is safe.

Donald Trump appears to have been nicked by a bullet in the ear as shots rang out at his rally today. The Secret Service covered him and rushed him offstage.
A witness who saw it on the broadcast live said, "Was live rally and Trump was talking about lowest rate of immigration and showing it on tv screen and head turned looking at it. Then popping noises happened and he grabbed his ear and he got down and secret service jumped on him.
"They got him in the ear I think. Blood on his face and he is pissed and raising his fist.
"If he hadn’t turned his head…he would be dead."
