President Trump just pulled off one of the better feint-and-jab moves of his first term, and that's saying something. After his media team posted a fairly innocuous interview clip online, tech giants Facebook and Twitter both deleted the message.

Yes, two social media companies deleted communication from a sitting president to the American people.

The post in question had to do with Trump's claim that children are "almost immune from COVID-19." This statement is not only uncontroversial, but mirrors the lived experience of North and South Americans, Asians, Africans, Australians, Europeans, and Antarcticans.

Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey's take? You can't say that!

The behemoth social media corporations removed the message from their respective platforms after claiming that it constituted "COVID misinformation."

The long and short of it: our tech overlords have moved against President Trump, but in so doing, have committed two grave errors. First, Twitter and Facebook, already under federal scrutiny for their monopolistic yet protected status as business entities, have almost simultaneously cast aside any semblance of reasonable discourse about the deeply controversial virus. Second, they have stepped into a trap.

Nothing comes of hearings with the purchased members of Congress as prosecutors. The recent charades of calling Zuckerberg, Bezos, and others to testify about their massive corporations lead nowhere. Bread and circuses.

This is different. Trump just got two politically divisive companies--both foes of his presidency, both under attack for political bias already--to censure him over an issue every citizen of the planet Earth knows to be true. Call it chess, call it politics, call it what you will: Trump is the tailor, and the technocrats are strutting about as emperors in their new "Resistance" finery, naked as jaybirds.

ps: the head of communications at unelected national truth-arbiter Twitter? None other than the former press secretary for the presumptive VP nominee of Joe Biden, Ms. Kamala Harris. His name: Nick Pacilio.

Facebook and twitter are overtly biased and corrupt. There's nothing for Trump to "expose." Why doesn't he try fixing the problem instead of offering more talk?
