Rising star Kristi Noem has a very impressive track record. As coronavirus forced businesses to close and the economy to crumble, Noem somehow kept her state open, and her people safe. And it is from this place, that she gave a serious warning to Americans about what would happen in Democrats win the election in 2020.
Noem said, “Democrat-run cities across this country are being overrun by violent mobs. The violence is rampant. There’s looting, chaos, destruction, and murder.”
Noem kept on the general message of law and order for this convention, and she directly addressed racial inequality. Noem said, “In just four years, President Trump has lifted people of all races and backgrounds out of poverty. He shrunk government and put money back into the pockets of hardworking, ordinary Americans. He has advanced religious liberty and protected the Second Amendment. You can look back 50 years, and you won’t find anyone that has surpassed President Trump’s success on these four issues alone.”
As the nation has watched communities rip apart as peaceful protests turn to looting and violence, Noem has been outspoken against this type of behavior, calling it unacceptable. She told Fox News, “There is no mother in this country that wants to raise her children on the streets of Portland, Seattle or Washington.”
The tone for the RNC is much different than the DNC, where speakers failed to address law and order, and instead, focused on racial inequality and systemic racism. Just this week, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has had to deploy 500 National Guard members to protect his streets, and has enacted a curfew. Biden, however, has not spoken about the destruction in the city, and instead, has only addressed his condolences to Jacob Blake’s family members.
