Trump Aides Point To Dem Leadership For Civil Unrest

While Democrats are saying riots and looting are happening in President Trump’s America, Trump’s top aides are setting the record straight. On the last day of the Republican National Convention, political pundits are trying to point the blame on Trump, and have said the unrest in Seattle, Portland, and now Wisconsin, are under his watch.

But key leaders aren’t letting these comments slide.  Kellyanne Conway, a longtime aide to the president who is leaving the White House at the end of the month, "It’s not Donald Trump’s watch. He’s trying to get law and order restored.” President Trump faced harsh criticism from Democrat lawmakers and leaders when he sent in federal enforcement agents to try and bring some order back to the cities.  Conway continued, "The more chaos and anarchy and vandalism and violence reigns, the better it is for the very clear choice on who’s best on public safety and law and order.”

Marc Short, Pence’s Chief of Staff, also pointed to the cities with the most chaos and violence, and who they’re leaders are. In an interview with CNN, Short said, "We’ve seen a lot of violence in Democrat-run cities. What we’ve seen is unwillingness to help to enforce law and order in our streets and that’s what this president and this administration are going to continue to do.”

Biden’s campaign has tried to hammer out the point that the civil unrest is happening in Trump’s America, but Trump has been quick to point to Democrat’s movements to defund the police, and order the police to stand down from arresting looters. As Trump prepares to speak tonight at the RNC, law and order is expected to be one of his main campaign talking points.
