The Democratic Party is out of touch with the voters and the democrats know it no matter what they say. Economy and inflation is what most concerns voters.
President Biden and the Democratic Party leadership have repeatedly stated over the last week heading into Election Day that “democracy” is at stake, but that is not what even the Third Wave democratic think tank has concluded in a poll.
The Third Wave gets what President Biden, Vice-President Kamala. Harris, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Hillary Clinton do not.
What matters to voters overwhelmingly going into the 2022 mid-term election is the economy and inflation by a wide margin.
Economy and inflation as a number one issue holds at 42%, and when asked if number one or two, economy and inflation stands at 59%.
Immigration and the border is the second most important issue.
When asked who will handle the economy better, republicans overwhelmingly are named.
Most surprising is that 53% of voters believe the democrats will further erode the economy and 56% believe that democrats are not focused on the economy.
Although the poll found that voters believe the democrats will better address climate change and abortion, those issues fall well under economy and immigration.
Third Way and Impact Research conducted an online survey of 800 likely 2022 voters with an oversample of 200 swing voters, from October 21-28, 2022.
