After two days of six voting failures to elect a Speaker of the House of Representatives, the members returned on Wednesday night and found themselves voting on a motion to adjourn.

Kevin McCarthy did not want to have a vote after losing six times. He does not have the votes to win on the next vote, and wanted more time to negotiate.

Democrats did not want to adjourn while Republicans did.

After taking a voice vote, the House moved to electronic voting which resulted in a close vote - Yahs 216 v. Nass 214.

House stands adjourned until noon on Thursday.

For the good of the nation, let the House stand adjourned until 2024.

You should have said this two plus years ago when Nancy was in charge.

Put him on probation and make him agree to give the American people justice and close the damn border and start handing out indictments. No need for new laws until 2024. Justice for Scalia, Babbitt, Rich, JFK, and too many others!
