On the eve of President Joe Biden’s expected announcement to run for re-election, President Biden announced Monday that Susan Rice, the director of the White House Domestic Policy Council is resigning effective May 26.
"As the only person to serve as both National Security Advisor and Domestic Policy Advisor, Susan's record of public service makes history," Biden said. “I thank Susan for her service, her counsel and her friendship. I will miss her.”
Rice is not only a trusted friend of Biden, she was on the short list for Biden’s vice-presidential choices in 2020.
Instead, Rice steered many of the proposals that formed the core of Biden's Build Back Better agenda and oversaw some of the administration's most polarizing issues, like gun control and migrant policies.
"I am deeply grateful to @potus for trusting and empowering me to serve as his Domestic Policy Advisor," Rice wrote in a tweet. "I love the team @ DPC and in the @WhiteHouse. There are no more dedicated public servants."
"I am so proud of all we have been able to accomplish together for the American people," Rice wrote.
Although Rice was up for consideration to be in Biden’s Cabinet, it was a foregone conclusion that she would have had a very difficult time through a confirmation hearing. Her defense of the Obama administration’s response to the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi would have been a hurdle for her.
Alternatively, Rice’s position as director of Domestic Policy Council did not require Senate confirmation.

I thought she was gone already. Apparently, they don't fumigate the White House.
She’s pure trash, more corrupt than Biden but she had smarter people handling her kickbacks.
I have a feeling that all h*ll is going to break lose on Jun 1
