Peter Navarro, who led the U.S. Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy under President Donald J. Trump, was released from prison on Wednesday and will be speak at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee early evening Thursday.
Mr. Navarro was released after completing his four-month incarceration after being charged in contempt of Congress after defying a subpoena from the House committee that investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. Stephen K. Bannon began his own four-month sentence of the same offense on July 1st.
