Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. addressed the nation Friday from Arizona and announced that after “deep prayer and hard-nosed logic,” he has decided to suspend his 2024 presidential campaign and is now endorsing former President Donald J. Trump’s candidacy less than 80 days from Election Day.

“In my heart, I no longer believe that I have a realistic path to electoral victory in the face of this relentless, systematic censorship and media control,” he said. “So I cannot in good conscience ask my staff and volunteers to keep working their long hours, or ask my donors to keep giving when I cannot honestly, tell them, that I have a real path to the White House.”

“I want everyone to know that I am not terminating my campaign,” Kennedy stressed. “I am simply suspending it and not ending it. My name will remain on the ballot in most states. In about 10 battlegrounds states where I would be a spoiler, I will remove my name,” he added.

Which state ballots Kennedy will be removing his name “will come clear as we do our filings,” said Kennedy’s Press Secretary Stephanie Spear to CDM.

Secretary of State Adrian Fontes posted on on Thursday night at 6:02pm that Kennedy had filed for a voluntary withdrawal from Arizona’s November election.

Kennedy said his internal polls were showing that his presence in the race would hurt Trump and help Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, whom Kennedy disagrees with on existential issues most important to him.

He cited censorship and free speech, the war in Ukraine, and the “war on our children” as among some of the reasons he decided to get into the race and now, to endorse Donald Trump. Kennedy has repeatedly stated on the campaign trail and in interviews that the "endless wars" must end.

“These are the principal causes that persuaded me to leave the Democratic Party and run as an independent and now to throw my support to President Trump,” Kennedy explained.

Kennedy emphasized that the U.S. is behind the Ukraine war in order to harm the Russian Federation. He criticized President Joe Biden for using Ukraine as a proxy to remove President Vladimir Putin and overthrow the democratic results back in 2014 and now savagely costing innocent Ukrainian and Russian lives.  He noted how agreements between the U.S. and Russia in the past were broken from NATO to the Minsk Agreement.

During his address, Kennedy said his goal is to “get rid of the corruption” in the government agencies, work on the “incentives in the health care” industry, “inspire health for all Americans,” and “save America’s children and reverse this country’s chronic disease.” Kennedy cited current health statistics and compared them to his generation and asked why aren't these headline news.

Kennedy noted how hard it was to suspend his campaign and joining the Trump campaign is for some close to him. He said it was “tough for my wife and kids.”

Nevertheless, he noted that these issues are important to him and they are important to Donald Trump.

He wants to take on PHARMA and Big Agriculture and noted the important work of Casey Means and her brother, who recently did an interview with Tucker Carlson whereby they discussed in length the impact of processed foods being consumed in America and its harmful impact across the country.

“We need to love our kids more than we hate each other,” said Kennedy.

Kennedy built a strong base for a third-party candidate. He announced his candidacy as a democrat in April 2023 in Boston. After that, the Democratic National Committee mounted a fierce attack on Kennedy and by October, 2023, Kennedy announced that he was running as an independent.

Kennedy said his decision to suspend his campaign followed conversations with Trump over the past few weeks. The first conversation took place right after the former president survived an attempted assassination on July 13.

Kennedy was in Milwaukee during the Republican National Convention last month. He was spotted at one of the hotels.

“I was surprised to discover that we are aligned on many key issues,” Kennedy said. “In those meetings, he suggested that we join forces as a unity party. We talked about Abraham Lincoln’s team of rivals. That arrangement would allow us to disagree publicly and privately and seriously, if need be, on issues over which we differ while working together on the existential issues upon which we are in concordance.”

He also praised Trump’s call for an end to Russia’s war with Ukraine.

Kennedy said the war was one of three “great causes” that drove him to ultimately give his support to Trump.

Trump acknowledged Kennedy's endorsement at an event in Las Vegas around the same time Kennedy had finished his event in Arizona.

“I want to thank Bobby. That was very nice. That’s big. He’s a great guy, respected by everybody,” Trump said, adding that he would discuss the endorsement more during a rally in Arizona later on Friday, where his campaign has teased a “special guest.”

The zeitgeist seems to be lining up for Trump.

First Argentina last fall, then Venezuela this summer, and now let’s pray for America this fall, liberty is marching on.
