Navy Secretary's Resignation Highlights 'Feminization' Of American Military

We Will Lose Next War Because Of This

Thomas Modly is sworn in as undersecretary of the Navy

This may be a tough article for many to read, and tough words for many Americans to hear, but America needs to hear them.

Under the last several presidential administrations, the U.S. military has been purposefully changed from the most effective war-fighting force in the history of the Earth, into a social justice 'woke' societal experiement, no longer capable of fighting a near-peer conflict with China.

Believe me, our enemies are watching.

Today's resignation of Acting Secretary of the Navy Thomas Modly is a travesty for American military preparedness. He simply told the 'unwoke' truth, and is being skewered for it.

We have previously wrote the firing of Captain Brett Crozier was entirely justified. The captain of the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt simply didn't have the authority to do what he did. It was outside the UCMJ and outside regulations, but he did it anyway. He put the mission of the Navy at risk, and he should have lost his command.

This is what he decided on his own was the best course of action.

“Removing the majority of personnel from a deployed U.S. nuclear aircraft carrier and isolating them for two weeks may seem like an extraordinary measure. ... This is a necessary risk,” Crozier continued. “Keeping over 4,000 young men and women on board the TR is an unnecessary risk and breaks faith with those Sailors entrusted to our care.”

To use the words of woke Greta, HOW DARE YOU?

How does a lowly Navy Captin get to make these decisions, and if he doesn't get his way, leaks the information to the press so our enemies will know our deterrence is weakened with a deployed carrier out of action? The gall this man has; he should be in jail.

Secretary Motley used harsh words in his criticism of the Captain during his remarks to the crew. These words were justified.

“If he [Crozier] didn’t think, in my opinion, that this information [the letter] wasn’t going to get out into the public, in this day and information age that we live in, then he was either A, too naive or too stupid to be a commanding officer of a ship like this," Modly said. "The alternative is that he did this on purpose."

“So think about that when you cheer the man off the ship who exposed you to that,” Modly added. “I understand you love the guy. It’s good that you love him. But you’re not required to love him.”

These words are spot on. The only thing these sailors who signed on the dotted line to serve the commander-in-chief with their lives were to do was to salute and take the hill, if that is what the chain of command decided.

As we have mentioned before, what if there were bigger things at play here? What if China was moving forces or acting in a threatening manner? What if this ship was needed in the Pacific for deterrence?

Now our enemies will have even more evidence that the backbone of our military is weak.

Navy Secretary's Resignation Highlights 'Feminization' Of American Military

In Israel recently, a female officer was relieved of command for refusing to force her troops to erect a tent in bad weather as ordered, because she 'cared about her troops' and considered them her 'children'.

The Department of Defense has become feminized. Soldiers, sailors airman and Marines now know it is ok to look out for yourself more than the mission of defending the country. Hey, if I get sick, no matter the fight, I can just go home right?

In my opinion, this is the direct result of the feminization of our military. Why are we pushing for more and more women into the armed forces? Into the service academies? Do we want 50% female? What do we gain by this? Or more importantly, what do we lose?

You may say, this time it is different. In the next war, we won't need personal strength and toughness. We only will need someone to operate the drones. That may be partially true; but, I think it is the height of folly to believe a 50% feminized military will help us win wars. Quite the opposite. Physical strength still counts, and for the most part, women are the weaker physical sex. That is just Mother Nature. But hey, we know most on the Left don't believe in science anyway, with 64 genders and all.

The continued loss of standards in our armed forces will bear consequences. We could very well lose a war with China in certain theaters because of it. You can see the loss of standards in the recent decisions to allow beards, turbans, and other religious garb for those that want to wear them. You can see it in the push for transgender and other 'rights' over the mission of the armed forces.

News today broke that China put COVID-19 patients in the crematoriums while still moving, burning them alive. They slice open political prisoners while still alive to harvest their organs to sell on the black market. They have over one million of their own citizens in concentration camps.

Do you think they would give a rat's ass about some sailors sick on a ship?

The devolution of military bearing needs to stop and it needs to stop now. Modle's firing did nothing to halt that fateful slide. Quite the opposite.

With the possible use of a bioweapon against the West from China killing thousands of Americans as we speak, now is not the time to show weakness.

I'm disappointed in the Trump administration for today's action.

My dad was Navy his entire adult life, starting with WWII. He wouldn’t recognize today’s Navy. He also wouldn’t like it. I don’t think I do either. What a shame.

    H2O

I served in the Army for 35 years. It changed radically for the worse under the loser Obama.

    flyover

Too many now join the military for an easy life (fter boot camp) that's leads to an early retirement on a nice pension I their 40s and don't expect to risk their life. when danger calls, its like 'man, I didn't sign up for this" .. They don't understand COC and think they can go around it when they want. There are places in the military for women if physical strength is not required.

Had I a brain I would have igneous up at eighteen. I lived through thirty years of no call up.

My time in the Navy was 57 years ago. No women on ships, no computers, no cell phones, no whining. We smoked liked chimneys, drank like camels, cussed like sailors, and displayed half-naked women in our workspace and quarters. We loved women, respected women, defended women, and fought over women, and could distinguish between ladies of the night and just plain ladies. We knew when to skylark and when duty called. Mission, mission, mission. Now you must drink the Kool-Aid or leave. Sad. This mess is in the Pentagon. That's where you clean it up.

The captain needed to be relieved of command, he took an aircraft carrier out of commission and broadcast that news to the world, in complete disregard for his mission. Unfit for command, no question at all. But the acting Navy Secretary made a fool of himself by going to Guam and making a spectacle. I spent 10 years in the Navy and never once heard anyone use profanity on the 1MC, and his silly stunt did not have the desired effect on the crew. If anything, his actions were perhaps more embarrassing to the Navy than those of the silly captain. I'm glad he resigned.
The main points of this article are quite true, everyone who served in the military could see this happening over the past 20 to 30 years and it is disgusting. It's not just about feminizing the military, the last administration pushed hard for a gay-friendly service and removed flag officers who were not supportive of the social engineering that was going on. This crap led directly to accidents like the one on the USS John McCain that killed people, and will lead to terrible outcomes in the next war.
It's way past time to stop with this PC crap and focus on proper training and discipline. Lack of discipline leads not only to poor performance but inevitably to poor morale. A good leader is not a nanny.

    George Flinn

Maverick, of Top Gun, had the perfect line for the Navy's Central Command: "You can't handle the truth."

    ELF

Sorry dude , that line was said by Jack Nickelson in "A few good men ".

    MIKE pentecost

    Right on !

    Sean O'Casey

Todd, Captain Crozier should have been given an in person 'hearing' before being ignominiously relieved of his command. Secretary Modley spoke foolishly and embarrassed himself....why he isn't defending himself instead of resigning is an indication that he doesn't have the moxie needed for his position.

    Greg

    This article is absolutely accurate.

A carrier is self-contained for over 6 months at a time. It is inconceivable to me how the captain managed to let them get infected in the first place. He should be relieved and discharged for that alone.

Then, he sent his message unclassified, effectively letting the rest of the world and our potential enemies know that a significant portion of America's deterrence force was no longer combat ready. That is treason and for that he should spend the rest of his life in jail. If the Chicoms use this opportunity to take Taiwan, then he should be executed.

    D3F1ANT

Sadly, this article won't matter one bit. The nonsense will continue. Stuff like this only changes to get worse.

    The Gaffer

Instead of using the military to norm women in appropriately male roles let us first introduce women into NFL teams and see how well the mix gender teams perform against all male ones. What? Never happen, teams lose money if they don't win?

This shows all you need to know about how much commiedems care for the military members.

Also speaks volumes about the priorities of our godless society.

    Dawn2334

Know what if I were made Chief of Command the first thing I would do is fire Every Single Imbecile that Obama put in, we have traitors in the ranks, its just that simple....get the commie scum dwellers OUT !!!!

    Bobby

    Honor, Courage, Commitment.
Except not today. After 23 Years of Service I saw people just like the Captain fill the position bu,t were horrible leaders.
Leadership is lost on many people in high ranking positions and many of our supposed leaders managed to do the right things to get their tittles and positions. But, many of those that checked the box are hypocrites and cowards. I served with a few leaders that I would die and those were people that held Honor, Courage, Commitment above all.
above all and I also served with many that were useless and were carried by their subordinates.
    This Captain failed his crew,
Honor = He knew he was doing the wrong thing and managed to push moral on the ship to a new low.
Courage = Running away from a problem and his OBLIGATIONS as a Captain.
Commitment = Again ran away from the problem showing the crew he has no commitment to the mission.
Was it a stupid decision and did he display stupidity in his actions absolutely.

    No One

Women in the Military, no problem however women in combat...should not happen.

Women in close quarters with men on a ship, sub or other vessel should not happen but the military could easily assign a ship to an all female crew: if men can do an all male crew then women should be also.

It's the whole gene issue and how men and women are wired, women maternal instincts and emotions get in the way along with monthly issues to contend with. Men's genes have the protective device and frankly women seriously cannot lift a man in full armor gear should they need too.

I'm not saying women cannot serve in our military yet there has to be a line drawn where each sex (male/female) can utilize their best knowledge/skills to protect and serve our nation.

On a last note: how many women got pregnant while stationed anywhere USA/overseas to get out of serving because they realized they could not handle being in the military? Men go AWOL on that note or resign.

    Geotrio

Retired from the Navy in 2002. The last three years, I was told that I was “blue”. We were all “blue”. I oversaw young sailors that could not or would not follow orders. Many had this phrase at the ready: “ I ain’t trying to do that”.
During my last year, mandatory diet control was starting. I don’t know how that went, because I left before full implementation.
I am proud to have served my country for 20 years, but I do not recognize the Navy today.
The Captain of the TR got off easy. Used to be that if you leaked out the ship’s movement, you could get in deep trouble.
    Scary.

    Welsh Warrior

What a disgrace the US Navy has become. My father was a Commander/Sea Bees In the US Navy , and devoted his entire life to this country. He would be disgusted and ashamed if he were alive today to see just how far things have fallen. The military has become pussified, to the point I worry about its ability to protect this country in a balls to the wall conflict. Not sure where all this pussification started but the previous sissy boy President ...you know the one married to a transexual name Michael.Yea that one. Obongo the moslem did his best to destroy the US military and this country. Just think where we'd be during this pandemic if that sissy boy was still President, working even harder to destroy the country. He would probably just hand the deed to the country to China, as he bowed in disgrace, like the disgusting coward he is. TRUMP 2020

    CptDan

This "wimpification" of the military really got cranked up back when I was serving in the USAF. During the Regan years, military budgets were adequate, and fantastic new equipment was coming on-line, training deployments were frequent and the training exercises were realistic as possible and at times brutal. But all you have to do to judge the effectiveness of Mr. Regan's policies is to look at the outcome of Desert Storm and see the results. The magnitude of the US's success scared the pants off of the globalists and they knew that if they were going to continue with their "one world" agenda, something would have to be done.

Once Komrade Klintoon (an avowed globalist) took over and a political correctness doctrine was put in place, things started going downhill in a hurry. Actually, as I think about it, I believe Daddy Bush (another avowed globalist) actually got things rolling with his "kinder, gentler" military doctrine. And we won't even go into the deliberate, willful and carefully calculated destruction of the military that the openly racist, self-admitted American hating embarrassment of a president O'bobo did.

However, in the long run the start doesn't matter, it's the readiness and the state of our military that really matters; and both are on life support due to the many, many discrete acts of sedation and treason. Yes, boys and girls, I said acts of sedation and treason from the highest levels and I choose my words carefully!

Whether the public wants to hear it or not; the one and only goal of the military is to kill people and destroy their war fighting capability in a war-time scenario. Pretty phrases like "shock & awe", "demoralization" & "selective engagements" are just fancy window dressings to disguise the ugly reality of war. I've been there, done that and seen war up close and personal, so I can say that the doctrine of deterrence really does work. BUT it works only as long when our military is the most powerful, most prepared and best equipped in the world.

The commander of a ship has to have the courage to order bulk head doors closed and sealing compartments against flooding even if it means trapping men to a certain death in order to save the ship. Does a female commander have this kind of courage? Maybe but, that has never been proven, has it?

    SuperChief

23 year Senior Chief Petty Officer (retired), I can applaud the Captain for his concerns regarding his crew but totally fault him for doing so at the cost of jeopardizing his mission. The Captain was an experienced and intelligent officer, as evidenced by the fact that he had previously served as Command Officer of the 7th Fleet flagship and previously as an Executive officer on a carrier. There is no excuse for an officer of his experience to violate OPSEC (operational security) in such a manner! He was relieved not for what he said, but because he transmitted the message via unsecure email and added many addressees, some with dubious "need to now", which resulted in information regarding the readiness of a major fleet unit being accessible by potential adversaries. While the Acting SECNAV's comments may have been injudicious under the circumstances they were indeed correct... he did not claim the Captain was "stupid" but that he had committed a "stupid" act. This is just the most recent example of what is happening throughout our military.

    MTDUSMC

Please feel free to get terminal butt hurt over this article if it suits you. However, it is the painful truth. SecNav Modly wasn't wrong, he was just "insensitive". In the modern force, not being "woke" is a greater offense than not being "ready". SOCOM forces are overburdened with missions because they must now conduct missions that were formerly missions of conventional forces. Conventional forces lack the ability due to "leaders" like Captain Crozier who have forgotten or either never learned that the mission comes first. Always. If you wonder why we haven't won a decisive military victory in 75 years, here's your answer.

    Freeland_Dave

50 years ago we had a much military force than we do today. Feminization and liberalism has virtually destroyed our militaty might. That and feminized political correctness. Instead of allowing military commanders to do their jobs we allowed politicians to dictate how our military functions. It actually started on Korea but wasn't fully realized until the end of Vietnam. After Vietnam was when these problems really started to manifest themselves and today the military is just a shell of what it use to be. The UCMJ and their oaths of service mean little to nothing to the millenial generation today. Sad. Our nation today has virtually destroyed itself from within and it's doubtful it will recover. Where we were once a united people we have become a nation full of self-centered individuals with no real moral compass.

    Dave Hunter

I had 24 years when I retired in 1998 and after 6 years of Clinton and a tour on a CVN with women assigned I could see the handwriting on the wall. You simply cannot put 20-somethings of the opposite sex together on ships and have an effective crew without strong leadership, and that leadership is now lacking in the Navy. We saw it in 2017 when two destroyers had thoroughly avoidable collisions at sea, killing 17 sailors. I very nearly cried when reading the JAGMAN investigation into the Fitzgerald's collision. I stood many, many hours of watch as CICWO and OOD underway and neither I nor any of the qualified officers I served with would ever have had that collision. The Navy should have court-martialed the entire watch team, the Senior Watch Officer and the CO.

Modly was right to resign. He never should have given that speech while he was angry, and he was definitely angry. Angry at the CO for taking his ship off-line while on deployment and embarrassing the Navy, and angry at the crew for that ridiculous send off of the Captain, throwing social distancing out the window when they did it and probably adding to the number of COVID-19 infections.
    s/retired Navy Mustang

    Show me

I never did hear what the medical officer on the ship had to say. There are circumstances where a medical officers opinion would take precedence, pertaining to fitness of the crew member for duty.
I suspect Crozier's actions were politically motivated.
Fighting any wars now involves the political climate at home as well as the situation in the service.
Vietnam eventually was determined by the political climate at home, that Vietnamese propagandists along with the Democrats were able to get the American military out of Vietnam and so North Vietnam won the war much more with their propaganda than with the war making ability, although after they got the Americans out of Vietnam, then they invaded with South with hundreds of tanks, turning what had been a guerilla and insurgency war into a massive conventional conflict with heavy armor and artillery with complete collapse of the South Vietnamese.
The ability to fight a war depends more on the civilian support for the war than actual combat units.
Obama won the election because he said he would end the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and not surprising since McCain was always saying American should go to war or be using troops and bombers. Then Trump came along and said the same thing and again won the election.
Trump has to get American troops out of all these wars and also take care of American servicemen. While the acting Navy Sec. was right militarily, probably he was wrong politically, and made the service vulnerable to criticism that it wasn't looking out for the health of its members.
There is one issue, that the Navy Hospital Ships have been deployed for civilian missions on the East and West Coasts.
They really have a service mission and may need to be deployed to support the services, although it's doubtful that will happen, but the Navy needs to have a pandemic plan, which would include having Navy hospital ships to support the seamen.

The Captain's actions were court martial material: Announcing that a major unit is unfit to fight should be highly classified and strictly up the chain of command. If the Captain disagreed with actions by his superiors he had the option to resign but remained obligated to follow orders until relieved.

Secretary Modly or whatever is his name did hardly any better: By going off the deep end in public he deprived the Captain, the country and the U.S. Navy of the benefits of a fair proceeding under the UCMJ. So what now? Other than the end of a couple of careers, probably nothing. Meaning no chance for the country and the U.S. Navy to learn anything from these sorry events.

Women have no business in combat jobs OR in ships. Those are not jobs that can be adjusted to the abilities of the jobholder: You are competing with a fanatical enemy who isn't going to award diversity points or participation trophies. Our government is SICK to have allowed this garbage to happen.

Add to this the two never-should-happen collisions from 2-1/2 years ago ... this Navy is FUBAR. Yeah it'll get straightened out but the cost is likely to be incalculable.
