    What Abraham Lincoln Might Say In 2021

    President Abraham Lincoln's 1863 Gettysburg Address is considered to be one of the greatest and most influential statements of American national purpose. In his brief address, he urged his audience to resolve that the Union soldiers who died during the battle of Gettysburg "shall not have died in vain---that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom---and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth"

    If President Lincoln were alive today, how could he modify his brief Gettysburg speech to address America's current civil strife and dangers? What would he say to motivate his listeners to strongly guard their individual freedoms and fight against socialism and totalitarianism, etc.?  

    A modified 2021 Gettysburg Address is suggested below:

    Twelve score and five years ago, our forefathers brought upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great moral, spiritual, and political war, testing whether our nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. A conglomerate of radical, far-left politicians and their wealthy supporters zealously strive to undermine America’s constitutional republic by turning the nation into a one-party, totalitarian state. It is for us then to be dedicated to the great task of defeating these enemies of the republic to which multiple generations of patriotic Americans have given their lives. Henceforth, let us be highly resolved that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that this government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

    LINCOLN WAS AN EGOTISTICAL WAR MONGER. RESPONSIBLE FOR OVER 600 THOU. DEATHS. THE CONFLICT BETWEEN THE STATES COULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED THRU NEGOTIATIONS. THE WAR DIDN'T START ABOUT SLAVERY. IT WAS ABOUT ECONOMIC CONTROL.NORTHERNERS HAD NO PROBLEM WEARING COTTON ON THEIR BACKS OR COTTON SHEETS & TABLE CLOTHS.THEY DIDN'T WANT ENGLAND TO BUY COTTON THEY THOUGHT WAS THEIRS.HENCE WAR.
