CORRECTION 8/3 1730 EST: The action taken by Borrelli is not a criminal referral, but an action under Arizona state law demanding an investigation.
Arizona State Senator Sonny Borrelli today referred the Maricopa County Board of Election Supervisors to the Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich for criminal investigation.
This action was taken after the Board refused to answer subpoenas again which demanded access to routers and other devices.
The response from the Board to the AZ Senate was irresponsible and mocking.
The form filed is actually based on a new Arizona law that could see Maricopa County lose state funding if results are not provided per the legislation.
Arizona SB 1487, introduced by Congressman Andy Biggs during his time as an Arizona State Senator, gives any member of the legislature the power to enact an investigation by the Attorney General’s office into law violations by a county, city, or town, wrote The Gateway Pundit.
When a law has been violated, The Attorney General shall provide notice that the county, city, or town has 30 days to resolve the violation. If they fail to resolve the violation within 30 days, the treasurer shall withhold state shared revenue from the county, city, or town. Shared funds will not be returned to the county, city, or town until the violation is resolved.

Article is in error. It is not a criminal referral. AZ title 13 is criminal code section. Nothing on the submission references violation of any law under title 13.
Yes, you are correct. We are amending...ty
MCBOS is between a rock and a hard place. If revenue sharing is suspended, how does Maricopa County meet its payroll? Will the employees of Maricopa County be all that understanding when they lose their jobs because of the intransigence of the Board of Supervisors? This will get interesting.
Whatever.
Talk. Interview. Bluster. Interview. Rally. Talk. Stern letter. Even more stern warning of really super duper letter to come. Talk.
Pigs will fly sooner....
County supervisors who are stalling s/b manditorlly removed before any funding is compensated after the extended thirty day refusal.
What keeps the county from being funded by a rich doner who lends them the funding. Dems. could just pull it out of their cookie jar and laugh at the people. There needs to be arrests when subpoenas are ignored. If any of us ignored a sobpena you know where we would be. Why is it that gorvement officials can break the law without reprecussions?
Hmm, If I refuse to 'answer' a subpoena, I would go to jail. Funny how it seems the 'elites' are immune to that...
The federal government will send "funds" to Maricopa County to offset the loss of state funds.
What happens when a ‘common’ deplorable doesn’t head a subpoena! Yes, that’s right, you go straight to jail!! They will literally hunt you down, cuff you and take you to jail and by whatever force is necessary! So all this tough talk is just that. The political class, good or bad( mine or yours), hate to arrest their own, no matter the reasons!
“deplorable doesn’t head a subpoena!” I meant HEED!!
I hear it's only a class two misdemeanor. How about upping it to treason?
