CDM was onsite in the heart of Hurricane Helene damage in North Carolina today - the destruction is horrific.

    Federal aid is nonexistent.

This is one of the most visible and most accessible of the damaged communities. Many more are in the mountains completely cut off from the outside world.

We understand FEMA has taken control of Burnsville, and maybe others, where the the destruction was complete.

Entire communities were wiped off the map - the mudslides from the massive amount of rain ensured that outcome. We are told there are no survivors in Chimney Rock for instance.

Below are some of the horrific scenes we saw today of the damage, along with the local communities coming together to help themselves.

The death toll will likely reach into the thousands.

The National Guard showed up on day 4. It is impossible to understate the malevolence of the Biden administration. Humans can live without water for 3 days. The Guard passed out some supplies in Swannanoa and then left again.

There are no medical facilities. There is no coordination of aid distribution. There are no supplies being provided by the Federal government. There are no water buffaloes for fresh water for residents, at least not in Swannanoa that we could see today on day 9.

Private helicopters are constantly flying in and out of the area. We saw a couple military helicopters fly over during the day.

As of today they were still pulling bodies out of the river.

Below is video of hundreds of local Americans banding together to distribute aid to the victims.

It was a heart-warming scene in the middle of Hell.
