The Trump administration continues to make progress on forcing China to alter its unfair and predatory trade practices, including the forced transfer of technology to Chinese companies. The trade negotiations continue and it seems China has made some concessions. However, the offers so far do not seem sufficient to The White House.

China put proposals on the table in the talks that went further than in the past, including on technology transfer, said one of four senior U.S. administration officials, reported Reuters. Negotiators have made progress on the details of the written agreements that have been hashed out to address U.S. concerns, he said.

"If you looked at the texts a month ago compared to today, we have moved forward in all areas. We aren't yet where we want to be," the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

"They're talking about forced technology transfer in a way that they've never wanted to talk about before - both in terms of scope and specifics."

After completing new trade agreements with Canada, Mexico, and South Korea, POTUS is now working to right the American trade ship with the biggest violator of free trade agreements which allowed China to enter the World Trade Organization. China used the accession to rape American companies to develop their own industry. Along with cyber theft, these practices have created an existential threat to the American economy and way of life.

Trump has been the only president with the insight and the will to deal with the problem.
