Be prepared for a Supply Chain Armageddon - tomorrow is when East Coast and Gulf Coast ports could be affected by a strike by the International Longshoremen’s Association. The West Coast is a different union. On the West Coast, it’s the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Coast Longshore Division (CLD). One thing America does well is operate efficient ports.

The ILA and the CLD work very well to make sure the ports are efficient. Much of their work centers on inbound Container traffic. We need to work on outbound container traffic as well as odd size, large exports beginning with Natural Gas Turbines - where America controls 92% of the market.

Will this affect election matters? Are the unions leaning Trump or Harris? The rank and file likely lean Trump. Get ready for some interesting times as we also recover from Hurricane Helene.
