Theresa Mary May, aka Theresa May, is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party

The United Kingdom continues to limp along to a possible Brexit from the European Union, or maybe not. It seems the British leadership has betrayed the people as 'Remainers' continue to try and stop the exit from Brussel's domination. Even as hapless Prime Minister Theresa May vows to step down, in order to get her weakly negotiated plan to leave through parliament, it still may not be enough. May refused to take Trump's advice to take a hard line with the EU from the beginning; now Britain is paying the price for her refusal to follow the author of 'The Art of the Deal'.

“I am prepared to leave this job earlier than I intended in order to do what is right for our country and our party,” May told a packed meeting of Conservative MPs inside one of Parliament’s oak-paneled rooms. “I ask everyone in this room to back the deal so we can complete our historic duty -- to deliver on the decision of the British people and leave the European Union with a smooth and orderly exit," reported Bloomberg.

Even with May's Brexit post mortem capitulation, it may not be enough to push her deal over the finish line as the Northern Irish DUP party still will not support the agreement, leaving those pushing for another referendum or a Brexit-killing delay, with an opening.

Conservative MP Boris Johnson is seen as a likely replacement for May in the coming weeks.
